Omitted words are the sections you chose not to include (quotes, references, etc.). These aren’t counted in the numerator or denominator for matched text calculations, so they don’t skew your similarity score.
Your report gives an overall similarity percentage and divides matched text into: Exact Matches, Small Edits, and Paraphrased passages. You can use filters to show only those levels you care about (for example, hide small edits or only show paraphrased content).
